Philipp Moll
Founder & CEO | Field Geophysicist | Exploration Entrepreneur
Moll Exploration – Germany & Norway
Philipp Moll is the founder and CEO of Moll Exploration. He is a field-based geophysicist and exploration entrepreneur with more than 20 years of operational experience in mineral exploration across Northern Canada, Alaska and Northern Europe.
Moll Exploration is structured as a German–Norwegian mineral exploration and geophysical services company, with its main operational base in Germany and a local office in Alta, Northern Norway. From this structure, Philipp coordinates the company’s exploration activities, geophysical service projects, field logistics and long-term project development.

As founder and CEO of Arctic Geophysics Inc. in Canada, Philipp built and led a geophysical exploration company operating from Northern Canada from 2007 to 2020, with a strong operational focus on remote northern regions. During this time, he introduced and applied geoelectrical exploration methods in new exploration settings, including successful survey programs for the mining industry and government-commissioned projects.
His professional background combines hands-on geophysical fieldwork, survey design, instrument-oriented operations and entrepreneurial leadership. An interdisciplinary academic education in geology, biology and philosophy supports a structured and systems-oriented approach to mineral exploration and decision-making under complex geological conditions.
Prior to his work in exploration, Philipp completed a technical apprenticeship in precision mechanics, forming the foundation for his practical and equipment-focused approach to geophysical field operations.
Within Moll Exploration, Philipp leads project development, client communication, exploration strategy and operational coordination. In joint geophysical projects, he works closely with long-term independent partners such as Stefan Ostermaier / Ostermaier Geophysics.
